David Smedley

David Smedley creates sculpture, unique furniture, custom awards, and architectural elements using a range of traditional and unusual materials. Nature, phenomena, space, light and life inspire his work. He has cultivated a broad aesthetic language through construction processes for over 40 years. He often layers his artwork with expressive and conceptual considerations, and is most interested in reckoning human perception with some form of divine truth and uncorrupted beauty.

He is currently making modular elements for a line of outdoor porcelain tile geometric abstract sculpture based on paper and computer models. Please stand by, more to come…
